Our global population is aging rapidly, bringing with it both challenges and opportunities.

Accompanying this demographic trend are advances in medicine, the introduction of new technologies, and the identification and analysis of data sources that were previously not utilized.

A specific focus on dementia warrants further attention, as this grouping of medical conditions places a significant burden on families and payors (both private and public), as well as society at large. Technology and data analytics now allow us to better understand the genesis of dementia and how it advances and provides the opportunity to take earlier action in managing this condition among the aged. In turn, this fosters “aging in place”, benefiting the elderly, their caregivers, and payors.
